Welcome in the "oben"

The name "oben" has a very special meaning: if you read it backwards, you get the word "nebo", which means "heaven" in Slovenian. A breathtaking view from our new restaurant that brings us a little closer to heaven.

We look forward to your visit!

Are you looking for one of the most beautiful and extraordinary locations in Southern Carinthia? Whether birthdays, civil weddings or christenings - our oben captivates with a wonderful atmosphere.

From the valley station of the Petzen cable car, you can take the 6-seater gondola to the mountain station in approx. 15 minutes. From there, it's just a few steps to the panorama restaurant at the top.

The culinary concept: good, regional food that invites you to savour and linger. The menu has been carefully put together - from tarte flambée and steak to regional fish - everyone will find their favourite dish at oben.
